Pete the Cat loves to dance. He loves to dance to all kinds of music, but his favorite is the Cool Cat Boogie.
One day, Pete is dancing to the Cool Cat Boogie when he sees Grumpy Toad. Grumpy Toad is always grumpy, and he doesn’t like to dance.
“Pete, you dance all wrong!” Grumpy Toad says.
Pete is disappointed. He doesn’t want to dance all wrong. He wants to dance like a cool cat.
Pete is left sad, he loves to dance.
The next day he sees Squirrel and asks Squirrel to teach him to dance. Squirrel agrees but Pete ends up stepping on her toes. Squirrel tells Pete that he danced wrong.
Again, Pete is left sad, he loves to dance so much that he can’t give up and decides to give it one more chance.
So Pete is practicing his cool cat boogie and asks more of his friends for help. They all agree to teach Pete to dance but each time they tell Pete he has got it wrong.
Pete goes to see Owl for help. Pete knows that Owl is wise, and he knows how to dance.
“Owl, can you teach me how to dance like a cool cat?” Pete asks.
Owl tells Pete that it doesn’t matter how he dances as long as he is being himself.
Pete relaxes and lets the music flow through him. He starts to dance, and he feels happy in his feet.
