Our Review
This Bean is totally as Cool as It Gets!
Ironically, this guy is a little awkward and anxious. It seems like bad luck attracts itself to this Bean. He sneezes on people, trips, and puts his foot in his mouth quite a lot. We can all relate to this Bean!
When he gets a really cool and popular friend as his secret Santa, he tries his best to find a good present for her. Eventually, he decides to draw her a picture. When he notices the huge stack of presents and people exchanging expensive gifts, he is suuuper worried about his ‘little’ gift.
Little gifts aren’t little at all. She loved it!
I think this book is a wonderful message to send to kids, that the thought behind a gift matters more than the contents themselves. Especially important for the children from low-income families who may feel a little embarrassed that they cannot afford to get their friends expensive gifts.
When you make something from the heart, the time and effort is an expensive cost, and is worth a lot. This book is a perfect stocking stuffer or festive present!
