Our Review

As always, this book was a favorite. Me and my nephew are in love with The Food Group series, and this is no exception.

Jory John has a knack for writing in a way that is fun for adults and kids. I especially liked when the Seed and his friends once dressed up as ‘The Seedles’, even if it went over my nephew’s head!

We loved looking at the different costumes that everyone dressed up as, and it gave us some fun ideas for this year’s Halloween costumes!

The message of this book is a fairly important one. We see that the bad seed is in a bad mood because he feels inadequate, so he threatens to ruin everyone else’s fun. We see that sometimes you can be your own biggest critic and often striving to be #1 is much less important than having fun.

I’m sure we can all relate to the stress of finding a good costume during Halloween, making this book even more laughably relatable! Once again, Jory John hits the nail on the head!
